There are some people who consider this as the "last resort" gift type. But things are not always the same as a lot of hard work, concept and expertise are involved in this. The sender of the wine gift basket must remember that this is a gift and it should not be designed on the basis of his/her choices. The sender must know the choice and taste of the receiver so that the sender get an appreciation from the receiver.

These baskets are excellent presentations for both men and women as they are convenient for any occasions such as weddings, anniversaries or birthdays. MacArthur Park not quite ready for big time (San Jose Mercury News)

When MacArthur Park opened nearly three decades ago in a historic Julia Morgan building on the edge of downtown Palo Alto, it was the hottest restaurant in town. The setting was opulent and the menu of American classics -- among them the signature barbecued ribs -- was fresh and appealing. Waits of up to an hour for a table were common on weekends.

From Serious Eats And today's the last day of Hannah Howard's summer internship here at Serious Eats. She's heading back to Columbia for the fall semester. If internships were meals, we'd now be at that stage where you've had dessert and paid the check but still want to linger a bit at the table before heading out. Hannah started during one of the craziest weeks we've had at Serious Eats, but she jumped right in and helped out, first bringing us roundups of The Week In Serious Eats and then,

What a party that was last night. There had to be about 20,000 people kicking off 11 days of music, food, drink and heaps of dancing. Somehow I managed to get myself hoodwinkled with six dates this week coming up and they all want me to take them to the Festival and they will all be at my BBQ mixed in with one of my Exs and four ex-lovers; should be an interesting BBQ. I think the guys show up to these things just in case there is a catfight and they get to see a tit pop out from all the tugging

Greetings from New York

... I flew out of KC Tuesday and headed for a much needed trip to NYC. The New York Gift Show begins tomorrow and I arrived early to meet up with old friends before I got to work. It has been two years since I was here and I immediately knew this cannot be the case ever again. Once a year is a must because, well- it is New York. The first change I noticed since my last trip is that the cabs have gone digital! Swipe your card, punch a screen and you're off. My second observation- everyone's hand
