Italy - Musical Wines

We are off to Italy again in a few weeks and I am going to be in the Arezzo area for a few days at end of trip. I will be on a mission while in Tuscany.... I am to find a town called Montalcino where there is a vineyard owned by a man who has made a startling discovery and now being studied scientifically. His grapes were not growing as robustly as they should have been for years so he tried an experiment. He decided to pipe classical music to half of his vineyard and the grapes responded by growing large r, juicier and redder than those not listening to music... It deserved a closer look Montalcino is also home to the famous Banfi wines .Banfi wines are considered by the Italian to be the best in Italy with only a small production of certain kinds distributed to America. So Montalcino is about 1 1/2 hours from Arezzo but a lovely trip especially at harvest time .Be sure to go to the musical vineyard called Paradiso di Frassini on the way to Montalcino from Buonconvento. According to an acquaintance who lives there the grapes prefer violins. The owner is Giancarlo Cignozzi and he makes very interesting wines, including one called " DO" ( musical--do, a doe ,a female deer...) containing 12 varietals. An interesting note is that this acquaintance ,Laura, states that when the boss is not there, the workers replace Vivaldi with Vasco Rossi and it does not seem to do the wines any harm It has become a very notable place so it is now necessary to request and appointment to visit. I will gladly give anyone the necessary phone and fax numbers upon request.

A DVD on how to so the original 1920s Swing Dance, the Lindy Hop. Covering 6 count, 8 count and Charleston, this is the one DVD that can show you everything you need to know to get out on the floor and dance!

Customer Review: excellent for beginners

For a total beginner non-dancer, this dvd was great. Compared to going to a group class, this was much better because you can go at your own pace, replay and pause to get the basics down. Higly recommended and much better than what was available free on the Internet.

Customer Review: looks great, quality not the best

While the finished product looks great, it did take a bit of extra work. A cracked piece of wood, missing bolt, and several stripped screws were part of the assembly process. Fortunately I had a bit of carpentry experience and a few extra screws so I was able to get it right. However; if your not the handy type you might end up a little frustrated. Based on looks and functionality I'd give it a 5, but the quality is slightly lacking. Maybe I just got an unlucky box, it is a good little cart.

Customer Review: Call a carpenter!

Let me begin by saying that once assembled, this is a very attractive and useful piece of furniture. It is actually quite well made, alignment is good, all pieces fit together well, and it is quite sturdy. The wood is very solid. However, assembling is another story. I like to assemble things - assembled my own recumbent bike, several home pieces, and the cat fence that` surrounds my yard. For this one - my husband had to take the lead - and although he seldom has difficulty assembling anything from furniture to electronics, he even experienced a good deal of frustration. For the complexity of the product, better directions are definitely needed. Although the direction sheet assigns letters to the representation of each piece - no letters were affixed to the pieces that came out of the box; hardware was not labeled; but worst of all was the allen wrench needed for screws in some of the most awkward places. I lowered our rating on this by a full star due to the difficult assembly. Be sure to enlist an experienced - and very patient individual to assemble this one!

Let's make this perfectly clear: The Cleveland Cavaliers are Lebron James' team. He is their superstar, their leader, and sans Kobe Bryant, the best player in the game. King James is not only the face of the wine and gold for the time being, but, regardless of whether or not he's still here after 2010, will forever be the most recognizable player in franchise history.
